These terms govern the use of this website and the taxi services booked with Taxi Ernesto by WhatsApp, phone or email. The owner's details are given in the Legal notice.
1. Bookings
Bookings are requested by WhatsApp, phone or email, stating the date, time, pick-up place, destination and number of passengers. A booking is confirmed when you receive an express confirmation. Services are subject to availability, and customers are responsible for providing correct details.
2. Service area
Licence L.M. 382 belongs to the municipality of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, so services start there (cruise terminal, ferry terminal, hotels and any address) and may end anywhere on the island. We do not pick up at the airports.
3. Fares
- Transfers: charged on the taxi meter at the official fares in force. The estimate given before booking is for information; the final amount is the one shown on the meter.
- Island tours: fixed price per vehicle, agreed before departure. Includes vehicle, driver and fuel. Does not include entrance fees, the cable car, meals or other personal expenses.
- Supplements: only those set by the official fares apply.
4. Payment and invoices
Payment is made at the end of the service, directly to the driver. No advance payment is requested. You can ask for an invoice for any service.
5. Punctuality and waiting time
The taxi will be at the pick-up point at the agreed time. If the customer is late, we will wait a reasonable time and contact them by WhatsApp or phone; extended waiting time may be charged according to the official fare. We recommend booking with enough margin before flights and sailings.
6. Changes and cancellations
You can change or cancel your booking free of charge by letting us know on WhatsApp as early as possible. If a customer does not show up without notice, future bookings may be declined.
7. Passengers, luggage and children
The vehicle carries up to 4 passengers. Luggage must fit safely in the boot; tell us when booking if you have large suitcases, sports equipment or pushchairs. Children travel in accordance with current traffic regulations: tell us when booking if children are travelling and their ages.
8. Animals
Assistance dogs are always welcome. To travel with other pets, please ask when booking.
9. On board
Smoking is not allowed in the vehicle. The driver may refuse or stop a service in the cases provided for in taxi regulations, for example if safety is at risk.
10. Lost property
If you leave something in the taxi, contact us as soon as possible. Items are kept and returned in accordance with municipal regulations.
11. Liability
The vehicle carries compulsory passenger insurance. The owner is not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond its control, such as accidents, road closures, exceptional traffic or weather, but will do everything possible to minimise their effects.
12. Complaints
Official complaint forms (hojas de reclamaciones) are available in the vehicle. You can also write to info@taxicabtenerife.com.
13. Applicable law
These terms are governed by Spanish law and the taxi regulations in force in the Canary Islands and the municipality of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
